Allison Schell

2025 Torino World Winter Games Nominated Athlete for Alpine Skiing

Allison Schell of Frankfort, KS has been an athlete with Special Olympics Kansas for 20 years. She has participated in every sport available at local, regional, and state level since she started. She started skiing only a few years, but she quickly started to shine at it.

“I love the challenge it brings me” said Allison.

Outside of Special Olympics, Allison loves to ride her bike with her dog Lucy in a pull cart. She is also an amazing artist, painting several award-winning paintings. Right now she is learning to cook with her mother. She helps with preparing meals and buying groceries. She impressively works two jobs!

Allison has two older siblings that are very involved in her life as well as her parents, but Allison and her dog Lucy have been living independently in her own apartment for 6 years now.

Wish Allison Schell good luck in her journey to the 2025 Torino World Winter Games and consider donating to her fundraising campaign to help support her on her way to Italy!

In June, Team Kansas will represent our state at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games — competing against thousands of athletes from across the country. For many, it’s the biggest moment of their athletic career.

But here’s the reality: getting our team to Minnesota doesn’t happen without serious community support. Travel, uniforms, equipment, meals, and competition fees add up fast. Every dollar raised goes directly toward making sure our athletes can focus on one thing — competing their hearts out.
