Each year Special Olympics Kansas recognizes outstanding athletes and individuals who contribute to the organization.
Special Olympics Athlete Leadership Programs (ALP’s) allow athletes to explore opportunities in roles previously considered “non-traditional”.
Innovative sports play programs for children with intellectual disabilities, ages 3-7, designed to introduce them to the world of Special Olympics.
The Special Olympics Kansas will be hosting the Chad W. Oehme Memorial Fishing Tournament on September 21, 2024! Check-in for this event will begin at 8:30 a.m., Fishing will occur between 9 a.m. – 11 a.m., and the awards for this event will be given out at 11 a.m. Athletes will need to have their own poles for fishing, and have an up-to-date medical on file with Special Olympics Kansas. Registration information for the Chad W. Oehme Memorial Fishing Tournament will be sent out in August of 2024.
