Each year Special Olympics Kansas recognizes outstanding athletes and individuals who contribute to the organization.
Special Olympics Athlete Leadership Programs (ALP’s) allow athletes to explore opportunities in roles previously considered “non-traditional”.
Innovative sports play programs for children with intellectual disabilities, ages 3-7, designed to introduce them to the world of Special Olympics.
The South Central Region will host a Multi Sports Coaches Training. The Coaches Training will be held at the Osage Recreation Center, 2121 W 31st S, Wichita, KS 67217 (located just East of the intersection of 31st & Meridian) on Saturday, January 6 from 9:00am – 4:00am.
The Coaches Training will be held in the following sports: Basketball, Bocce, Soccer, Softball, Track & Field & Volleyball. A Concussion training will also be offered, A light lunch and refreshments will be offered.

This training does fulfill the sport specific training requirement to become a Certified Coach.
