Each year Special Olympics Kansas recognizes outstanding athletes and individuals who contribute to the organization.
Special Olympics Athlete Leadership Programs (ALP’s) allow athletes to explore opportunities in roles previously considered “non-traditional”.
Innovative sport and play program for children with and without intellectual disabilities, ages 2-7, designed to introduce them to the world of Special Olympics.

Registration information will be sent to local programs in early fall.
NEW! We are trying a different participation policy for the West Region Bowling tournament on October 21st. Athletes in communities where there is not currently a local program can register and compete as an individual. This is on a trial basis only for this event. It is our hope that through this process we will provide opportunities to athletes who otherwise wouldn’t be able to participate and ideally be the stepping stone to forming programs in new communities.
