DESCRIPTION:FUNFitness at KC Metro Regional Volleyball and Cornhole\nMove\, learn and take a step toward better health at the FUNFitness KC Metro Regional! \nFUNfitness is a discipline of Special Olympics Healthy Athletes® that helps athletes learn more about their physical fitness and how taking care of their bodies can support their health and performance. During a FUNfitness screening\, athletes participate in a series of activities that assess four key areas of fitness: flexibility\, functional strength\, balance and aerobic fitness. \nWith guidance from trained health professionals\, athletes can learn about their individual strengths and areas for improvement while receiving education and recommendations for exercises and healthy habits they can use beyond the event. DESCRIPTION:Join Special Olympics Kansas for Performance Stations at the Southeast Kansas Traditional Cornhole event at Erie High School! \nAthletes will have the opportunity to participate in modified Performance Stations designed to promote healthy habits\, wellness and competition readiness. Stations will focus on Competition Readiness\, Nutrition\, Hydration and Physical Activity\, giving athletes practical tools and information they can use both on and off the playing field. \nAthletes will also have the opportunity to sign the Pledge Wall as part of their commitment to making healthy choices and staying active. \nThe event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Erie High School on Wednesday\, October 28\, 2026. \nCome learn\, get active and celebrate the importance of health and fitness alongside Special Olympics Kansas athletes!
