This two-day state event will highlight the incredible talents of Special Olympics Kansas athletes as they compete for gold in strength and strategy. \nFriday\, July 18 – State PowerliftingJoin us at Pittsburg High School for a high-energy day of competition as athletes go head-to-head in squat\, bench press\, and deadlift events. Powerlifters from across the state will show off their training and determination\, aiming to hit new personal records and earn their spot on the podium. The crowd can expect a dynamic and inspiring atmosphere filled with strength\, perseverance\, and celebration. \nSaturday\, July 19 – State Flag FootballThe competition continues at the PSU Campus Plaster Center where teams will battle it out on the field in the State Flag Football Tournament. Expect fast passes\, strategic plays\, and lots of touchdowns as athletes showcase their teamwork\, agility\, and sportsmanship. Unified teams made up of athletes with and without intellectual disabilities will also compete\, promoting inclusion through sport. \nThis two-day event is open to the public and we encourage community members\, families\, and fans to come out and support these phenomenal athletes. Let’s pack the stands and cheer loud!
