In Unified Sports\, teams are made up of people of similar age and ability. That makes practices more fun and games more challenging and exciting for all. Having sport in common is just one more way that preconceptions and false ideas are swept away. \nAthletes must be 18 and older and have a valid medical release form on file with Special Olympics Kansas. DESCRIPTION:Open to Washburn University Students and Special Olympics Kansas athletes. \nDedicated to promoting social inclusion through shared sports training & competition experiences\, Washburn University Student Recreation and Wellness and Special Olympics Kansas are joining forces to bring together people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. In Unified Sports\, teams are made up of people of similar age and ability. That makes practices more fun and games more challenging and exciting for all. Having sport in common is just one more way that preconceptions and false ideas are swept away. \nAthletes must be 18 and older and have a valid medical release form on file with Special Olympics Kansas.
