A silent auction features sports memorabilia and more.\n\nEach team will be paired with a Special Olympics athlete that will be competing at the SONA Golf Tournament starting the next day. These golfers are some of the finest Special Olympics athletes from around the US and Canada.\n\nThe cost is $1\,000/four-some which includes lunch\, branded apparel and more.\nFor only an additional $500 you can also sponsor a hole for the charity golf tournament AND the SONA Golf Championship that runs from October 29-31 at Crestview.\nOther sponsorship opportunities are available.\n\nThe 2024 Special Olympics North America (SONA) Golf Championship is being held at Crestview Country Club in Wichita\, KS\, beginning the evening of Monday\, October 28th. To raise funds in support of this event\, we are hosting a charity golf tournament that Monday morning at Crestview.\n\nThis event is not only a great opportunity to have fun and support Special Olympics\, but it’s also a great chance to get acquainted with some of the athletes who make Special Olympics such a unique and outstanding organization. DESCRIPTION:The Special Smiles discipline of Healthy Athletes helps athletes optimize their oral health.  For many individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) dental care is not often a priority and can take a back seat to more pressing dental issues. \nThe goal of Special Smiles is to: \n\nIncrease access to dental care for Special Olympics athletes\, as well as people with ID;\nincrease awareness of the state of athletes’ oral health for the athletes themselves\, as well as their parents or caregivers;\nprovide hygiene education to the athletes to help endure that they are doing an adequate job of brushing and flossing; and\nprovide nutrition education so they will understand how their diet affects their total health.\n\n\n\nAt a Special Smiles non-intrusive screening\, a dental care professional and assistants: \n\n\nassess decay\, unstable fillings and sealants\, injury\, fluorosis\, and gingival signs;\nprovide athletes with a written report card;\nprovide oral health education (brushing and flossing techniques);\nprovide personal preventative products such as toothpaste and toothbrushes: and\nprovide athletes (or their care-givers) who require follow-up dental services a listo of dentists/clinics in their area that will treat patients with special needs\, should they have difficulty finding a dentist.\n\nThe secondary objective of Special Smiles is to increase the number of dental professionals who will serve people with ID in their practices and clinics. \n\n  \nVolunteer here. \nLearn more about Healthy Athletes.

SUMMARY:Tidal Wave Auto Spa Charity Day
DESCRIPTION:Tidal Wave Auto Spa’s Award Winning Charity Day \n\n\n\n\n\n\nEVENT: Join us for the 16th Annual Tidal Wave Auto Spa Charity Day event that will be held Friday\, September 20\, 2024 \n100% of the profits from the day will be donated to charities. To date\, Tidal Wave has given back over $1.3 million to charities and were recognized by CarWash.com as a Champion of Charity. In 2023\, Tidal Wave received a Gold Award from Brandon Hall Awards for Best Initiative for Philanthropy and Corporate Giving.  \nDONATIONS: 50% of the proceeds from single-sale washes will support Special Olympics Kansas and all cash donations will go to Special Olympics Kansas. The remaining 50% from single-sale washes will benefit Annadale Village\, a cherished community for special needs adults\, dear to our hearts as founders\, the Blackstock family. Donate here.
