SUMMARY:Fit Feet at KC Metro Regional Track and Field
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Healthy Athletes Fit Feet screening during the Metro Track meet! This valuable health program provides Special Olympics Kansas athletes with free foot and ankle screenings\, helping them stay healthy\, comfortable\, and ready to compete. \nThe screening will take place on April 25\, 2026\, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Shawnee Mission South High School. \nDuring Fit Feet\, trained health professionals will assess athletes’ foot and ankle health\, identify any concerns\, and provide guidance on proper footwear\, hygiene\, and injury prevention. This program plays an important role in keeping athletes active and performing at their best. \nVolunteers are needed to help make this event a success! Opportunities include assisting with setup\, supporting the screening area\, and helping with tables and chairs. Lunch will be provided for volunteers. \nStop by to support athlete health and wellness\, or sign up to volunteer and be part of this impactful program!

DESCRIPTION:Stop by the Healthy Athletes Opening Eyes Q&A Table during the South Central Regional Tennis competition to learn more about vision health and the resources available through Special Olympics Kansas. \nThis informational table will be available on May 16\, 2026\, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Bishop Carroll Catholic High School. \nWhile this will not be a full Healthy Athletes screening\, the Opening Eyes table will provide athletes\, families\, and coaches with the opportunity to ask questions about vision health\, eye care\, and the Healthy Athletes Opening Eyes program. Staff and volunteers will be available to share information about the importance of eye exams\, proper eyewear\, and how athletes can access vision screenings and services through Special Olympics programs. \nIf you are attending the South Central Regional Tennis tournament\, be sure to stop by the table to learn more about how Healthy Athletes programs help support the overall health and wellness of Special Olympics athletes.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for Healthy Athletes at Summer Games\, where Special Olympics Kansas athletes can receive free health screenings and wellness education while competing at one of the biggest events of the year. \nThe Healthy Athletes screenings will take place on June 6\, 2026\, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Maize South High School as part of the exciting Special Olympics Kansas Summer Games. \nHealthy Athletes® is a Special Olympics program offered at Summer Games that provides athletes with free health screenings\, education\, and follow-up resources in a welcoming and supportive environment. Through a team of trained medical professionals and volunteers\, athletes receive care across multiple health disciplines designed to identify unmet health needs and promote lifelong wellness.
