Special Olympics Athlete Leadership Programs (ALP’s) allow athletes to explore opportunities in roles previously considered “non-traditional”.
Innovative sport and play program for children with and without intellectual disabilities, ages 2-7, designed to introduce them to the world of Special Olympics.

Join us at Johnny’s Tavern in Prairie Village for an evening of food, fun, and community support at our Tip a Cop event! From 4–8 p.m., local law enforcement officers and Special Olympics Kansas athletes will team up to greet guests, share stories, and collect “tips” (donations) to support Special Olympics Kansas programs.
Your tips help provide year-round training, competitions, and health programs for more than 6,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities across the state. Come enjoy a great meal, meet the incredible people behind the mission, and help make a lasting impact—one tip at a time!
