2027 Scarf Project

Each year hats and scarves are given to athletes from Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Iowa and Nebraska, who participate in the John L. Cassidy Winter Games.  We ask volunteers to crochet or knit these items for the athletes. Each year we post the colors for the upcoming games.

For the 2027 Winter Games, the colors are any shade of yellow/gold and blue. Our goal is 200 scarves and hats. Scarf guidelines: 50-60 inches including fringe 6-7 inches wide any design or pattern using both colors

Packing: Please wash before packing into a Ziploc bag. Drop off or send completed items to: Special Olympics Kansas attn: Jill Meyer 5280 Foxridge Drive Mission, KS 66202

STILL NEED HELP?

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

In June, Team Kansas will represent our state at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games — competing against thousands of athletes from across the country. For many, it’s the biggest moment of their athletic career.

But here’s the reality: getting our team to Minnesota doesn’t happen without serious community support. Travel, uniforms, equipment, meals, and competition fees add up fast. Every dollar raised goes directly toward making sure our athletes can focus on one thing — competing their hearts out.
