Set against the backdrop of the vibrant streets of Leawood, our 2024 Midnight Run offers participants the chance to make a difference while enjoying a fast-paced course. Lace up your running shoes and join us as we raise crucial funds to support the incredible athletes of Special Olympics Kansas.
Both seasoned runners and casual joggers are invited to take part in our 5K and 10K Run/Walk events. As a token of appreciation for your dedication, all finishers will receive a bespoke finisher’s medal, a tangible reminder of your commitment to the Special Olympics community.
The race will kick off at the stroke of midnight on Saturday night, starting from the Camelot Court Shopping Center located near 117th and Roe in Leawood. The route will wind its way through the picturesque Tomahawk Creek Parkway, offering a scenic backdrop for your nighttime run. Participants in the 5K will complete one lap, while those tackling the 10K challenge will conquer two laps of the course.
Please note that due to road closure limitations, the 10K event is designated as a run-only race with a time limit of one hour and 15 minutes. For the safety of all participants, we kindly ask that you choose the 10K distance only if you are confident in meeting this time limit, as roads will reopen promptly thereafter.
