Special Olympics Athlete Leadership Programs (ALP’s) allow athletes to explore opportunities in roles previously considered “non-traditional”.
Innovative sports play programs for children with intellectual disabilities, ages 3-7, designed to introduce them to the world of Special Olympics.
Join us on October 26th, for the 2024 Young Athletes Fest at Gardner Edgerton High School in Gardner, KS! This event is designed to celebrate athleticism, inclusion, and the potential of the next generation of athletes, welcoming children ages 2-11 for a fun-filled day of fitness and sports activities.
The event is divided into two sessions:
In addition to the sports activities, we are excited to offer a Healthy Young Athletes pediatric screening for all participants. This free health screening, conducted by trained Clinical Directors, will provide families with valuable health reviews and resources to support their young athletes.
Whether you’re a parent, a coach, or simply a supporter of inclusive sports, the 2024 Young Athletes Fest offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a movement that encourages fitness, skill-building, and friendship for children of all abilities.
