Be part of a powerful and historic moment as Wichita hosts the Final Leg of the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games Torch Run.

The run will begin at Old Cowtown Museum, travel along the scenic river path past iconic Wichita landmarks including the Keeper of the Plains and Exploration Place, and continue through downtown before finishing at Wichita City Hall at the Law Enforcement Memorial.

Spectators are encouraged to line the route, cheer on participants, and be part of this inspiring sendoff to the USA Games.
Come witness the Flame of Hope as it makes its way through Wichita and help celebrate the athletes representing Kansas on the national stage!
In June, Team Kansas will represent our state at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games — competing against thousands of athletes from across the country. For many, it’s the biggest moment of their athletic career.
But here’s the reality: getting our team to Minnesota doesn’t happen without serious community support. Travel, uniforms, equipment, meals, and competition fees add up fast. Every dollar raised goes directly toward making sure our athletes can focus on one thing — competing their hearts out.
