Healthy Athletes at Summer Games

Healthy Athletes®
Healthy Athletes® is a Special Olympics program offered at Summer Games that provides athletes with free health screenings, education, and follow-up resources in a welcoming and supportive environment. Through a team of trained medical professionals and volunteers, athletes receive care across multiple health disciplines designed to identify unmet health needs and promote lifelong wellness. Healthy Athletes® helps athletes compete at their best while building healthier habits that extend beyond competition.

The following Healthy Athletes® disciplines will be offered at Summer Games:

  • Opening Eyes (vision and eye health)

  • Healthy Hearing (audiology)

  • Special Smiles (dentistry)

  • Health Promotion (prevention and nutrition)

  • FUNfitness (physical therapy)

  • Fit Feet (podiatry)

  • MedFest (general health)
