As you take in the stunning views from the top of the KC Wheel, you’ll also have the chance to learn more about the impactful work of Special Olympics Kansas. Our organization provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. These programs offer our athletes the opportunity to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
Throughout the evening, we will have Special Olympics Kansas representatives available to share inspiring stories about our athletes and the transformative power of sports. You’ll discover how your support helps provide vital resources and opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities, enabling them to achieve their full potential both on and off the field.
The KC Wheel will be illuminated in a brilliant red, symbolizing the passion and determination of our athletes. It’s a perfect backdrop for a night of fun, learning, and community spirit. Plus, there will be opportunities to make donations on-site to further support our mission.

Guests will have the opportunity to learn more about how Special Olympics Kansas provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Representatives will be on hand from 2p-4p Friday and Saturday to share more about Special Olympics Kansas and their mission. Guests who donate $10 or more at the event will receive a free Digital Photo Package.
