The Village West WineFest showcases over 200 wines and 100+ craft beers from around the world; featuring food from Kansas City’s best restaurants, bars, and caterers; and benefiting the community’s most dedicated charities.
2018 WineFest
We have worked hard to make WineFest the most anticipated event in Kansas City, and not the largest! Beginning this year we will be limited to the first 1,000 guests. The success of the last decade is due to our wonderful restaurants, sponsors, local distributors and volunteers who work to make WineFest the event that it has become.
Wine + Beer + Food (6pm – 9pm)
The wine walk features unlimited wine tasting and food from some of Kansas City’s finest restaurants. Take in the atmosphere as The Legends Outlet rooftop transforms into the greatest party KC has seen.
We don’t discriminate…we love beer too! Sit back, relax, and enjoy some of the world’s best beers in the Beer Garden. Featuring 100+ different types of craft beer.
All wine and beer samples are included with your GA ticket. You must be 21 to attend WineFest.
The VIP Experience (5pm – 7pm…)
Pinkies up my friends. The exclusive VIP area features unique offerings from all across Kansas City. This includes upgraded wine and spirits as well as access to the best seat in the house for the firework show.
Fine Wine
For those with a taste for the finer things in life, the exclusive VIP experience features unique offerings for those who seek only the finest. There are only 150 of these unique tickets available.
Experience wines whose price tag and small distribution don’t lend themselves to our general tasting. The VIP area also features special food offerings and entertainment.
Early Access + Exclusive Getaway
The VIP area will open one hour before the general admission tickets are allowed in the park. This will ensure no lines for VIP patrons and an extra hour at the event. The VIP area will offer drink pourings from 5pm until at least 7pm or when the last drop runs out, and then transition to an exclusive area for VIP’s to retreat when they just want to sit back and relax.
Fireworks (9pm)
If you haven’t heard already, our fireworks show is a sight to be seen! This year’s show will not disappoint, prepare for a pure visual delight!
After Party (9pm-1am)
Once you catch your breath from the fireworks show, it’s time to get your groove on! The after party rolls in to cap the night off. Hosted on the exclusive Dave & Busters party deck, dance the night away!

FAQs
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
You must be 21 to attend WineFest. You will be required to show you ID upon entry.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes. You will need your printed ticket to redeem for a wristband at the entry of the event. All ticketing will be handled by Schlitterbahn this year and we will direct individuals to their staff if there are any specific ticketing questions.
What should I bring?
Entry requires an ID and an ADMISSION TICKET, which will be scanned upon entry. It is very important that you bring a valid ID with you. Everyone’s ID will be checked prior to entry. You must be 21 or older to attend WineFest. When you purchased your Village West WineFest ticket online, you received an email from Schlitterbahn with the ticket(s) included. If you are unable to find the email with your ticket attached, and it’s not in your spam filter, please email winefest@kccause.org.
While your ticket includes drink and food samples, you might also want to bring cash for the after party, or simply to donate.
What should I wear?
We suggest that you dress comfortably – but nice. The dress code is casual. Exactly what that means is a matter of personal preference. For men, clothing ranges from suits to polo shirts paired with khaki pants or jeans. Many women wear summer dresses, skirts or nice pants.
When should I arrive?
We will begin welcoming guests at 6 p.m. If you purchased a VIP ticket you are encouraged to show up at 5pm as you have early access to the VIP area.
When will the event end?
The main event will end at 9:00 and be followed by an awesome fireworks display. But the fun doesn’t stop then! Starting at 9:30, we will kick off an after party featuring a cash bar and DJ. All events end at 1AM.
Will there be transportation service following the event?
We have contacted UBER and they are prepared for our event. Simply request a pickup at the front circle drive.
