Meet Brandi, a powerhouse from Haysville, Kansas, proudly representing Team Kansas in golf at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games!
Brandi has been a Special Olympics Kansas athlete for 14 years, competing in a wide range of sports including basketball, track, soccer, tennis, and now golf. She’s no stranger to the national stage. Brandi previously competed at the 2022 USA Games in tennis, bringing home a gold in Level 4 Singles and bronze in Mixed Doubles. This time, she’s taking her talents to the green.
When she’s not training, Brandi’s still staying active—she recently earned her black belt in Taekwondo in March 2025! Her dedication to improvement and persistence in every goal she sets is one of her greatest strengths. Whether it’s finishing her senior year on her own terms, becoming a martial artist, or qualifying for the USA Games, Brandi proves that with grit and determination, anything is possible.
She’s also an advocate, an athlete leader, and an example of how inclusion empowers. “I’ve met more people, made great friends, and had opportunities I never imagined, like flying in a fancy jet to the USA Games,” she says.
As she prepares for the 2026 Games, Brandi is conditioning through Taekwondo, walking, and soon golfing weekly. She’s especially excited about visiting Minnesota for the first time and finally checking The Mall of America off her bucket list!
Brandi works at Goodwill Industries in the contracts department and is a proud cat mom to her furry sidekick, Gidget.
We’re proud to cheer on Brandi as she tees off for Team Kansas and brings her energy, focus, and fearless drive to the national stage!
