Special Olympics Kansas Athlete Excels at 2023 SONA Golf Championship

MISSION, KS, 10/06/2023  – Caleb DeMaio, a Special Olympics Kansas golf athlete competed in the 2023 Special Olympics North America (SONA) Golf Championship at Seaview Golf Club in Galloway, NJ. The event was held October 2-5, 2023. 

Nearly 200 athletes and Unified partners representing 19 Special Olympics Programs from across the US and Canada competed in the 2023 SONA Golf Championship. DeMaio placed 3rd in the tournament.

“We are truly proud of Caleb,” John Lair, President and CEO of Special Olympics Kansas said. “Bringing home a bronze medal is a huge accomplishment and we are so excited for him.”
