Bre has been a Special Olympics Kansas athlete for seven years, starting just four months after moving to Kansas. This year, Bre focused entirely on powerlifting, her passion, and chose to dedicate herself fully to this sport. In the past, she’s participated in nearly every sport offered—except Winter Games and flag football—but powerlifting has become her “one and only.”
“I love powerlifting so much that I don’t like having a day off,” Bre shared. Her dedication is unmatched, working out five days a week and even coming in on weekends or days when practice is canceled. As a true health messenger, Bre leads by example: starting cardio early, eating healthy, and staying committed to her fitness goals.
Beyond sports, Bre loves being creative, making and selling diamond art paintings. She also enjoys arts and crafts, cooking, and spending time hunting with her grandparents.
Through Special Olympics, Bre has gained self-confidence, learned the importance of hard work, and embraced being a supportive team player. Her advice to others? “Become an equal team member and have fun spending time with your friends.”
“Special Olympics is rewarding—you get to be part of a team, have fun with friends, meet new athletes, and enjoy the sports you love. You grow and learn from the experience.”
Bre, we’re so proud of your commitment and passion! Keep lifting and inspiring others!
