This month, we’re proud to introduce you to Dallas Rupp, a long time Special Olympics Kansas athlete who’s been competing with us for an incredible 27 years! Dallas is a true multi-sport star. He participates in basketball, track, tennis, swimming, flag football, bowling, softball, and cornhole. While he loves them all, flag football is his favorite.
Dallas has earned countless medals over the years for his participation in regional and state competitions, and though he hasn’t made it to a USA Games or a World Games yet, he’s staying ready for his moment. Outside of competitions, Dallas works at Southside Convenience Store, enjoys listening to music to help him get pumped up, and keeps up with his favorite sports on YouTube.
When asked how Special Olympics Kansas has impacted his life, Dallas says, “It has made my life so much better.” His advice to future athletes? “Get moving and step up! Go Buffaloes!” Oh and if you’re wondering, yes, Dallas has a girlfriend… and he says “she’s awesome!”
We’re so proud to have athletes like Dallas who inspire us with their energy, heart, and commitment.
